Q. What is Denison’s Day of Giving?
Denison’s Day of Giving is the one day every year when the university asks all alums, parents, families, and champions to make a gift that will help continue to spark students’ curiosity and nurture their creativity, allowing them to experience the endless opportunities that a Denison education offers.
Q. When is Denison’s Day of Giving?
This fundraising initiative occurs annually in the spring. This year’s Day of Giving will take place on March 28.
Q. Why should I participate?
Three reasons:
- To help current and future Denisonians experience the life-shaping education that has been a hallmark of Denison for nearly 200 years.
- To show how we make the biggest impact together. By joining fellow Denisonians and making a gift of any size, we can amplify our support for current and future students, allowing them to pursue existing passions and develop new ones.
- To inspire students to explore their interests and build the lives they want to lead. With your gift, students can embrace the advantages of a Denison education.
Q. Who can donate?
Everyone can give and ALL Denisonians are encouraged to give to make the biggest impact together! Your gift towards Denison’s Day of Giving is tax-deductible. Contributions may be made via credit and debit card using the GiveGab online platform. These gifts will be received and receipted by GiveGab on Denison’s behalf. To make a gift via check, please make your check payable to Denison University, indicating your support for Day of Giving in the memo field, and mail it to our secure Park National Bank lockbox* in Mount Vernon at:

Q. What is GiveGab?
GiveGab, which is becoming Bonterra, is a nonprofit giving platform that helps nonprofits (like Denison) to raise money, engage donors, and manage volunteers quickly and efficiently.
Q. How much of my donation goes to Denison?
GiveGab retains a 3% campaign management fee from all donations. Credit Card processing fees are an additional 2.5% + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover). You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to Denison.
Q. Do I need to create an account with GiveGab?
No. You do not need to create an account to make a gift.
Q. Is there a minimum gift amount?
There is a minimum gift of $5.00.
